
RRS Sir David Attenborough & Festival des Mondes de Glace
RSS Sir David Attenborough est en visite à Greenwich en octobre pour le festival Ice Worlds au National Maritime Museum.

La jetée de Greenwich est située sur la rive sud de la Tamise, dans le quartier de Greenwich maritime, un site inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. La jetée se situe entre le célèbre clipper à thé Cutty Sark et le chef-d'œuvre riverain de Sir Christopher Wren, l'ancien Collège royal naval. Aujourd'hui, le quartier royal de Greenwich présente un mélange éclectique de bâtiments historiques et modernes. Le centre-ville de Greenwich abrite une variété de musées, pubs, restaurants, marchés et boutiques.
Parmi les bâtiments historiques de Greenwich, on peut citer la Queens House (conçue par Inigo Jones et premier bâtiment classique d'Angleterre), l'Observatoire royal (Sir Christopher Wren) ou l'église St. Alfege (Nicolas Hawksmoor).
