
RRS Sir David Attenborough e Festival dei Mondi di Ghiaccio
RSS Sir David Attenborough visiterà Greenwich in ottobre per l'Ice Worlds Festival al National Maritime Museum.

Il pontile di Greenwich si trova sulla sponda meridionale del Tamigi, nella zona marittima di Greenwich, sito patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO. Il pontile si trova tra il famoso clipper da tè Cutty Sark e il capolavoro fluviale di Sir Christopher Wren, l'Old Royal Naval College. Oggi il Royal Borough of Greenwich è un eclettico mix di edifici storici e moderni. Il centro di Greenwich ospita una varietà di musei, pub, ristoranti, mercati e negozi.
Tra gli edifici storici di Greenwich si annoverano la Queens House (progettata da Inigo Jones e primo edificio in stile classico in Inghilterra), l'Osservatorio Reale (di Sir Christopher Wren) e la chiesa di St. Alfege (di Nicolas Hawksmoor).
