RSS Sir David Attenborough besucht Greenwich im Oktober zum Ice Worlds Festival im National Maritime Museum.
Der Greenwich Pier befindet sich am Südufer der Themse in Maritime Greenwich, einem UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. Der Pier liegt zwischen dem berühmten Teeklipper Cutty Sark und Sir Christopher Wrens Meisterwerk am Flussufer, dem Old Royal Naval College. Der Royal Borough of Greenwich präsentiert sich heute als vielseitige Mischung aus historischen und modernen Gebäuden. Im Stadtzentrum von Greenwich findet man eine Reihe von Museen, Pubs, Restaurants, Märkten und Geschäften.
Zu den historischen Gebäuden von Greenwich gehören unter anderem das Queens House (entworfen von Inigo Jones und das erste klassizistische Gebäude in England), die Royal Observatory (Sir Christopher Wren) und die St. Alfege Church (Nicolas Hawksmoor).
