Thames River Sightseeing have been operating public cruises on the River Thames for over 50 years. Our current services call at six piers across London & operate a fleet of modern & traditional passenger boats. Our all weather boats have interior seating & open decks making them perfect for sightseeing or just transportation. We operate 361 days a year & operate extra services during the Summer.

Thames River Sightseeing Routes

We are currently operating one route calling at Westminster Pier, Embankment Pier, St. Katharine Pier & Greenwich Pier. Departures from each pier are every hour.

From Saturday 22nd May 2021 we will be operating 7-days a week calling at Westminster Pier, Embankment Pier, Festival Pier, Bankside Pier, Tower Bridge Quay (St. Katharine Pier) & Greenwich Pier. Unfortunately we are unable to offer our cruises to the Thames Barrier this year.

The Great River Race 2018 Great River Race Pier Closures Today is the 30th Great River Race. A number of river closures are in place throughout the day. Approximate closure times include: St. Katharine Pier | 10:25-11:25 Westminster Pier Pier | 11:05-12:05 There will be no departures from these piers during these times. After the race has passed Westminster Bridge services should return to the usual time table. About Thames River Services Thames River Services (TRS) have been operating daily sightseeing tours since 1986, our current service operates between Westminster Pier, St. Katharine Pier (for Tower of London) & Greenwich Pier. During the summer months we operate the only river tours to the Thames Flood barrier, departing Westminster Pier, St Katharine Pier & Greenwich Pier five times a day. Our vessels M.V London Rose & M.V Avontuur IV operate on these services along with M.V Thomas Doggett (owned & operated by TRS) and a collection of other modern & traditional vessels owned by our partners. Greenwich Pier Closures – 26th & 27th March

Transport for London are conducting a major renovation of Greenwich Pier between November 2017 and March 2018. The renovation is expected to increase the pier’s lifespan by a decade and will involve the pontoons being removed in two phases. Some of the works which will be carried out include replacing the anchor chains, refurbishing the connection hinges between the pontoons, repairs to the main decks and a fresh coat of paint below the waterline. Costing over £2.5 Million M.V Thomas Doggett is a purpose built sightseeing vessel with open & covered decks capable of carrying up to 528 passengers. The new vessel takes her name from the famous 17th century Irish actor Thomas Doggett, founder of the Doggett’s Coat & Badge Race in 1715.
